It was so sunny last Saturday that several hundred people decided to take their clothes off and cycle round London. Though to be fair, they would have done it even if it hadn’t been sunny and they can’t have been that warm because there was quite a breeze blowing.
This is the London event of the World Naked Bike Ride, making their way down The Mall – from Admiralty Arch (which you can see in the background) towards Buckingham Palace.
And if you weren’t cycling around naked, it was worth making the most of the sun, as this week the weather has been more autumnal than flaming June.
For me that meant getting some wide-angle shots of people enjoying the sun with London’s iconic buildings and some blue sky!
I don’t often take wide views of London: I see them so often that I take them for granted. So it was a great chance to capture some of my favourite views – looking down Villiers Street from the walkway past Charing Cross Station:
