Street life – Fun in the sun
The title of this post – Fun in the Sun – refers to the fun I was having playing around with the low evening sun, rather than the poor commuters and bus drivers who were just going about their usual business.
The golden hour (for non-photographers: it is the wonderful hour before the sun sets when the sun is low in the sky and very warm in tone) yesterday gave me the perfect opportunity to play around with focus and reflections, to create halos around commuters heading into Westminster Station.
I took all these shots on Bridge Street, which runs from Parliament Square to Westminster Bridge, past Big Ben. I had planned to walk down the Embankment but as I came out of the station, the sun was in the perfect place, facing up the street. And in case this is your first visit to my blog, and you would like to see some prints of my work, I have an exhibition of my work on until the end of this month (September) at First Edition Restaurant in Canary Wharf.
