Having the time of our life – Jubilee revellers

So I’ve been through my Jubilee photos. I have to say that there was a tendency to get a lot of the same shots of people dressed up and with the crowds it was difficult to get any good shots standing more than about three feet away from the subject.

But I did get a few half decent photos that don’t all look the same. So here is a very edited selection of what I took, showing people enjoying themselves, or in the case of the first photo – having already enjoyed themselves:

Sleeping children being carried by their fathers

Two elderly ladies enjoying the concert on the big screen in Hyde Park

A couple in matching Union Jack/Flag hats and outfits smile and pose for the camera

A man dressed as a Prince in fake military uniform and a woman dressed as the Queen

Three muslim women covered head to toe in black, sitting on the grass, watching the Diamond Jubilee concert on the big screen at Hyde Park

Picknickers enjoy the evening sun while watching the Diamond Jubilee concert on the big screen in Hyde Park, London

Again, most of these are available through Caters News Agency

    • Actually you were probably better off watching it on the telly.

And you got great pics of the lighting of the beacon. Trouble with anything in London was that there were so many people, you either had to do close-ups and/or get hemmed in by crowds – which limits your photographic opportunities.
